The game community has traditionally been the best place for players to interact and for manufacturers to explore user growth and business ideas, but in the present time, when giants such as Discord and Reddit monopolize markets, new players want to share a piece of it. However, according to Android Association data, Google is developing a game community function internally.
According to an analysis of the dismantling of the latest version of the Google Play shop (V47.4.31-31) in the past few months by the overseas research institute Android Association, Google is developing a brand-new “Games Community Forum” function, which is likely to be aimed at Google Play Games, which is designed to provide players with a social interaction platform similar to Reddit or Discord, which is located directly within Google Play.
Android Autorence activated the “Your Technologies” option by dismantling at the bottom of the “Managing Applications and Devices” page at Google Play. Click to show three subpages, which are currently placeholder text. The corresponding icon, however, implies their functionality, and clicking on each option enters its exclusive page, under the terms “Likes”, “Comments” and “Posts”, indicating that users can track their forum activities.
In terms of debunking information, the function allows players to create posts at Google Play, share game skills, ask questions and participate in discussions, which form the experience of social forums. Players can also view personal contribution records by interacting with the `nods’, `comments’ and `posters’ options.
Google’s three placeholder URLs (not yet online) for the Forum, including content policy, postage and response guidelines, indicate that the functionality will be closely related to Google Play users:

The first information on the Google Play community forum, reported by Android Society, appeared in April and the relevant code characters clearly depicted Google ‘ s intentions.

The dismantling of V47.4.31-31 first activated part of the UI, showing that the functionality was nearing completion but still under development and could not be fully interactive. Google has not officially announced this function, and the name may not end up being “Google Play Game Community Forum”. Android Association speculates that Google may be launched under different brand names to make users more attractive. Although some of the functions of the community forum appear to be visible (at least visual) in the interface, the timing of their official publication is unclear.
It can be envisaged that Google will perhaps push Google Play Gomes to become the central hub for Android and PC games. The forum will be integrated with the PC version of Google Play Gomes to provide a unified discussion space for cross-platform players and enhance ecological viscosity. In particular, considering that traditional play forums are gradually being replaced by Discord and Reddit, Google intends to take over the market through the vast user base of Play Shop.
Direct access to the exclusive forum within the application centre does make sense, but for players already active on the Discord server or other online community, this is probably a tough fight.
